What is a civil servant’s regular duty allowance?
There are many people who are curious about how much profit public officials with high preference in Korea are receiving. Today, let’s look at the allowance system for civil servants.

Among them, the regular attendance allowance for civil servants is a bonus paid for the purpose of raising the efficiency of work in order to encourage public servants to work in the past and in the future. Incumbent civil servants are paid twice, in January and July.

Recipient: Public officials
Differential payments from 0% to 50% of the monthly salary depending on the number of years of service
The regular attendance allowance paid in January is paid for those who worked between July 1st and December 31st of the previous year.
Regular attendance allowance paid in July Allowance paid for work between January 1st and June 30th of the relevant year
In case of receiving a disciplinary action during the period of payment of regular attendance allowance, it is not paid.
In the case of new hires, payment is made only for the actual service period as a public servant during the payment period.
Leave of absence due to military service, performance of legal obligations, employment, study abroad, union full-time, and parenting is paid.
Sickness/disappearance/training/household/overseas leave of absence paid by 1/6th of each month for actual non-working period
As above, all civil servants receive a bonus allowance that varies from 0 to 50% of their annual salary depending on the number of years of service. Since 50% of the annual salary is a really large amount, I don’t think it’s easy to think of a civil servant’s attendance allowance.

The amount of regular attendance allowance for civil servants varies depending on the number of years of service. As with any job, the more years you work, the more you receive in proportion to your monthly salary.

Since it is always paid without being affected by the economy, the allowance is paid more safely than other companies. There is also a reason why civil servants are popular.

The amount of monthly salary you see now is the amount for the basic salary, and since the additional allowance is excluded, I think that if you add the additional allowance to the civil servant, you are also a civil servant.

However, the civil service exam is also fierce and not an easy place to pass. And depending on the grade, the qualifications for applying are different and there are many things to prepare.

If you apply for the civil service grade test that suits your situation and pass the civil service exam, you can think of it as starting from the 1st salary in the civil service grade you passed.

There is a difference of about 2.6 million won in wages between grade 9 grade 1 and grade 1 grade 1 pay. If you are receiving a monthly salary of 1st class, No. 23, with more than 10 years of civil service experience, you will receive 3.5 million won, 50% of about 7 million won, twice in January and July.

If you divide 7 million won by 12 months, it’s about 530,000 won. If you add 530,000 won to the basic salary of 7 million won, you get 7.53 million won. This is just a simple calculation.

In reality, the actual amount received is a little higher because it is paid by adding 50,000 won to 100,000 won depending on the work experience of 5 years/10 years/10 years or more.

Today, I wrote a post about civil servants’ regular duty allowance. I would like to thank the public officials working for the administration of the Republic of Korea and hope that this post will be of some help to job seekers preparing for civil service.
